Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Habitron ("the Service"), provided by Hassan El Imam. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Habitron. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms.

2. Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at halemam226@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free plan — limited daily AI scans, basic features.
• Premium ($8.99 USD per month) — unlimited AI scans, AI Chef recipes, full insights, no ads.

Payment is billed via Apple App Store to your Apple ID. Your subscription auto-renews each month until you cancel. Cancel at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refund requests are handled by Apple per Apple's standard refund policy. We cannot process refunds directly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its content
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or models
• Use the Service to violate laws or harm others
• Upload content you do not have rights to (including images that aren't food photos)
• Abuse, harass, or impersonate others via the support channel

5. Health Disclaimer

Habitron provides general nutrition information and AI-generated estimates. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Do not use Habitron to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any health condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise, or medication — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a chronic condition, or are taking medication.

6. AI Accuracy

Food identification and nutrition values are AI-generated estimates, not guarantees. Portion sizes, ingredients, and macros can vary widely from photos. Use Habitron as a guide; verify critical values when accuracy matters (e.g. carb counts for diabetes management).

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logo, and content (except your user data), is the property of Hassan El Imam and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You retain ownership of data you upload but grant us a limited license to process it to provide the Service.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Account → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the AI, or attempt to compromise the Service. Where possible, we'll notify you before termination.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in-app.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE.
